Raffle Terms & Conditions

Hand on Art Studio Raffle – Smoke & Fire Festival, Maldon.

16th August – 17th August 2025.

1. Promoter

• The promoter of this raffle is Hand on Art Studio, Liverpool.

2. Eligibility

• The raffle is open only to individuals physically present at the Smoke & Fire Festival, Maldon on Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th August 2025.
• Entrants must be aged 16 or over in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005. Proof of age may be requested.
• Employees and volunteers of Hand on Art may not enter.

3. Entry

• Entry is by purchase of raffle tickets, available at the Hand on Art stall during the event, or online via the QR codes located on banners and leaflets at the event.
• Tickets are priced at £5 each or £20 for five tickets.
• Tickets are only available for purchase during the festival opening hours on Saturday 16th or Sunday 17tth August 2025.
• Ticket numbers will be issued sequentially upon purchase.
• Tickets can be purchased online via credit or debit card or in-person via cash or debit/credit card.
• Tickets are non-refundable.

4. Draw & Prizes

• The draw will take place on Sunday 17th August 2025, after ticket sales close.
• Winners will be drawn at random from all eligible tickets sold using a computerised draw system. 
• Prizes will be your choice of one of the two live carvings completed during the festival weekend. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
• Winners will be announced on Hand on Art’s social media pages and contacted via the details provided at the time of entry.

5. Claiming Prizes

• Winners will be contacted by Hand on Art within 24 hours of the raffle closing. Contact will be made via telephone.
• Hand on Art will arrange delivery of the item to the winner (free of charge) within 10 days of the draw taking place.
• Unclaimed prizes will be retained by the promoter and may be redrawn or otherwise used for future fundraising.

6. Delivery & Collection

• Delivery locations: We deliver to any mainland address in England, Wales, or Scotland, excluding most islands and remote areas that are inaccessible by van. If you’re unsure whether your address qualifies, please contact us before entering.
• Delivery time: Delivery will take place within 2 weeks of the winner being announced.
• Carving: The prize is a wooden carving completed live by Hand on Art Studios at the festival.
• Delivery process: Winners will be contacted by telephone to arrange delivery. The carving can be placed at a location of your choice (within reason and where safe and accessible by van). If this isn’t possible, an alternative nearby placement will be agreed.

7. Legal Compliance

• This raffle is an Incidental Lottery and is run in compliance with the Gambling Act 2005. No licence or registration is required.

8. Data Protection

• Personal data collected during ticket sales will be used solely for administering the raffle and contacting winners, (unless consent has been provided to be added to Hand on Art’s marketing database). 
• Data will not be shared with third parties and will be securely deleted after the event.

9.  Liability

The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries or communications not received due to technical failures, and accepts no liability for prizes lost, stolen, or damaged after delivery.
